The great cleaning begins!

Today the men of Mt.Olive began the first stage of the restoration. As some of you may know there was a fire in the second floor of the building 26 years ago. The skylight in the roof was broken out while the fire was getting put out. Nothing was done for 26 years to restore the damage. It became home to the neighborhood pigeons.

Mt.Olive Purchased the building this summer and we are ready to restore the 2nd floor to it's former glory! So today with hazmat suits and respiration masks we put our hand to the plow and began to remove the carpet along with all the broken sheet rock, deceased birds, and other mess that has been left behind.

Below you will find a few pictures showing the work being done. God's willing we will have our services upstairs one year from now! Stay tuned, and if your ever in the area come on in!

A Great Youth Explosion!

file

The 2012 Youth Explosion took place this past Saturday July 28th at 141 Bowers Street. The Lord truly moved at this event. Four youth came forward to give their lives over to Christ during the service!

During the event the youth received encouraging words that fell within the theme - Choices -. They where encouraged to take their choices seriously because their lives literally depend on the choices they will make today.

We would like to thank to all those that helped to organize the event and to those that took part in the program. We are expecting an even greater turn out next year!

Now that we are in, it's time to work!

God has been kind to us! We are going on our 4th week in our new building at 141 Bowers street.

Now that we are in. It is time for us to get some work done. The second floor (the sanctuary) has been neglected for over 20 years. There was a fire there and it was never looked after or repaired.

While we are happy that the first floor is usable. We would like to restore the sanctuary to it's former glory!
