In 1986 the building we purchased this summer (141 Bowers St) had a fire. That fire completely destroyed the main sanctuary on the second floor. The second floor has been untouched for 26 years. We are in the process of cleaning the junk out from the second floor and looking forward to rebuilding it so that we may worship up there(pictures below). The building is sound since it was built with brick. But much is needed to bring the second floor in order.
We are doing all we can to raise funds and work as we go. The first order of business will be to replace the skylight that was knocked out in the roof. That has allowed birds to make our sanctuary their sanctuary for the past 20 years.
You can help us by making a donation to the Emergency Relief Fund, by sharing our story with others that might be willing to donate. We can also use volunteers to help with the manual labor that is needed.
